Concord Eastridge has been selected by the City of Tracy, CA as master developer for a 108 acre parcel of city-owned property to develop a mixed-use project anchored by a combination of primary and secondary education facilities and programs. In its General Plan, the City has designated the property as “Public Facilities” and envisions development “as a public-private educational-focused project with mixed use commercial, public and private educational facilities, recreational, hospitality and office elements enhancing and complementing the educational experience.”
Centrally located in California, Tracy is the second largest city in San Joaquin County. Centered in a triangle formed by three major interstate highways and with links to regional and national rail systems, Tracy’s strategic location has established it as a major distribution center for many corporations. This has supported significant increases in population, employment opportunities and commercial development in recent years. The City has become the “center of gravity” for the southern portion of this large county in California’s Central Valley and a major distribution node in the movement of goods from the Ports of Oakland and San Francisco to the rest of the country.
The project is envisioned to be a new cultural hub for the region offering diverse education and enrichment programs to a variety of users through partnerships with learning institutions and employers.
