
Sarah Coughlin Elementary, located in Pacoima, CA, combines the atmosphere of a residential environment with the ambiance of a rural community to house Kindergarten through 5th grade students. In addition to the 16 classtooms, the primary center has a librart, kitchen, playground and a multi-purpose facility, which can be shared with the local community.
The new school is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District's effort to build 160 new schools throughout the district by 2012. The new campus was completed in 2005.
