"Thanks also for helping George Mason University exceed the Commonwealths SWaM Goal FY2009, and designing the Mason Inn to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.  These are impressive goals that mirror our SWaM and Sustainability efforts and are to be commended."

Corporate Commitment to Sustainability

Concord Eastridge, Inc. was among the first national real estate development firms to embrace sustainable design and construction practices in its new development and redevelopment projects throughout the country.  The critical need to be wise stewards of all building resources is of paramount importance to our development practice.

Today, all Concord Eastridge projects attain at a minimum, LEED certification, but always strive to gain the highest level of certification as possible.

Internal to the Company’s operations, Concord Eastridge is further committed to sustainable practices in our every day work environment.  To this end, Concord Eastridge has established a national task force to identify better practices for our daily business endeavors.  We applaud and support our many academic, civic and non-profit clients as well as our project partners in their efforts to implement broad measures within their purview to ensure sustainability.  It is a privilege for our firm to partner with these clients on green building projects on an everyday basis.

As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Concord Eastridge fully supports the efforts to see that sustainable design and building practices become a mandate rather than a choice.
